Madeley Website Disclaimer We at the this forum wish it known that we prefer the Madeley village website remain as impartial politically as far as possible. Therefore, this and the Parish section have been selected away from the main site to allow political items to be discussed and debated. Any content does not necessarily reflect the feelings of the staff on this site. As with our sign up policy, any abuse of other members may result in a ban. All politically minded members are asked to contribute and put forward their views and allow people viewing this part of the forum to see what issues potential candidates can bring to the 'table'. |

Road Pricing - An Additional Road Tax 600,000 people signed an on-line petition at Downing Street against it. Roads Minister Stephen Ladyman dismisses the petition as 'nonesense'. Eventually, everyone will have to pay 5p a mile. A simple trip from the heart of the village to Newcastle & back (6 miles each way) for work will cost you an additional £147 a year! Tell us what nonesense you will have to pay? |

Local Trades If you have a business in this area, a plumber, builder or hairdresser. Can you draw up plans? Dig gardens? Decorator, babysitter\child minder? Give piano, guitar lessons, or any musical instrument for that matter! Computer or general learning lessons? Perhaps you can knit and want to sell those items? Dairy and farm produce for sale direct? Then tell us about it! Maybe you are a householder and know of someone that has given good service and you'd like others to know? On the other hand the service of a tradesman may have been less than satisfactory? |
