Vicar’s Letter January 2016

One of the highlights of being Vicar of All Saints’ has been the Alpha Course. For the last two years a dozen or so of us have gathered on a Tuesday evening to share a meal and think together about life, the universe and God!

Some of those who have come to Alpha came with BIG questions; others with nagging doubts; and others have just wanted to find foundations for faith in the modern world.  Not everyone has left with a radical change of mind but so many have discovered and deepened a faith in God which has enriched and inspired their everyday lives. I don’t believe that it is an exaggeration to say that for some, it has been a life-changing experience.

On Tuesday 12th January at 7.30pm we will be gathering for this year’s group at Madeley Vicarage. The first session is a taster session with no obligation to come back but it will give you an insight into what Alpha is all about.   Please consider yourself invited to join us. You will not be expected to say anything, if you don’t want to, but if you do have questions, we would love to explore those with you, as best we can. If you would like more information up front, please ring, collar or email me.

Alpha has proved to be an amazing vehicle for exploring some of the biggest and most important questions of life – we would love to meet you there.

Subsequent Alpha evenings will also start at 7.30pm with a simple meal, great people to meet and time to get to know each other. Each week we will have a different speaker who shares directly from their own experience and discovery. It is not a hard sell but a collaborate exploration.

So Happy New Year to all and what about YOU coming to Alpha?
